The US House votes to delete valuable information from the Census

This is an interesting editorial from the New York Times about the American Community Survey provided by the US Census.  The House of Representatives recently passed an appropriation bill forbidding future funding of this information – used by businesses in examining demographic (and location decision-making) information and communities to inform residents and businesses about their communities.  This is another example of conservatives not understanding information, how it is used for the benefit of many; instead they choose to hide behind the uniformed and ignorant conspiratorial cloak of stopping “Big Brother.”
