Trees in Urban Settings (and cycling)

A terrific article from The Atlantic Magazine about why trees are needed in urban settings.  Frankly, I think trees are needed alongside every road and should  be planted in all highway medians (are you listing Ohio DOT?).

As a cyclist I personally feel that there should be shade trees at the top of every hill, rise, and incline of every street in the country (or at least where the climate allows).  At the top of some of those hills, I can get just a little winded and like to take a rest, get a quick drink from the water bottle and catch my breath.  Shade trees would make  these stops a tad more comfortable – especially in June through September.   Ok, enough of my digression.  Please read the outstanding article below.

Thanks!
